Overall Alliance Philosophy
There is a desire within many organizations for more pragmatism. However, they see the use of a pragmatic approach as the solution to not dealing with the existing complexity within the organization.
In this context we "Members of Allign" find that:
- Complexity should not be denied but rather be managed.
- A holistic approach is therefore a conditio sine qua non.
- Certain activities should not be separated, but should be distinguished. We think among other things of:
» Running business (de shop) and project portfolio (the reconstruction). » Thet we need to be careful with making goal synonimous with result and making result synonimous to effect. » "Hard" (systems, work processes, etc.) and "soft" (culture, education, etc.). » That we need to be careful with making process synonimous to project.
- Thus overall, in most areas not or ... or, but rather and .... and.
- We should not (only) focus on the training (management development) of individuals, but rather on the professionalization of the organization.
- Key for success in every change management trajectory is: one language / one approach.
